PDO Threads not only tighten and firm the skin but also stimulate collagen production, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The low down
Some temporary side effects, such as swelling and bruising can be expected around the treatment area. This usually resolves within a few days, but could take a couple weeks.
Results are seen in 8–12 weeks and can last up to 12 months. PDO Threads are a made from a dissolving suture material, which is reabsorbed into the body after approximately 3 months. Yet, the collagen stimulation achieved can continue to benefit the skin for up to 12 months. So, a yearly treatment regime would be ideal.
Prior to treatment, numbing cream is applied to the designated area. This ensures you feel minimal discomfort during your treatment. Some tenderness may be experienced during the first few hours following treatment.

- Immediately after: Keep the treated area clean. Some bruising and redness may occur after treatment, this varies by individual.
- For 24 hours after the treatment: Keep the skin clear and avoid makeup for 24 hours post-treatment. Do not rub, massage or place pressure on the treated area for 24 hours. Avoid exposure to extreme heat and do not exercise excessively for 24 hours. Avoid alcohol consumption entirely for 24 hours. Do not apply makeup or skincare products with active ingredients for 24 hours.
- For two weeks after treatment: Avoid dental treatments for the first two weeks after your treatment.
- Ongoing: We recommend Clear Skincare’s Tighten Serum to maintain and prolong results. We recommend a maintenance treatment 12 months after your initial treatment to ensure optimum results.
