The Menopause Diaries 3
Introducing Lumixa

My First Clear Skincare Consultation
So, I did it. I had my first proper skin consultation at Clear Skincare on Clarence Street, Sydney, and honestly? Game-changer.
The skin therapists are total skin experts and dare I say – skin whisperers. You know when someone just gets it? The team are warm, approachable, and made me feel instantly at ease, even as I rambled on about my hormonal chaos. They listen (really listen) when I described the dullness, pigmentation, and that general blah feeling my skin has taken on since perimenopause gate-crashed my life. No judgement, just total empathy and a solid plan of action.
The Skin Check
My skin was given a thorough once-over, and everything was explained to me along the way – like how inflammageing (yes, it’s a thing) could be behind my current skin drama. Basically, chronic inflammation can speed up ageing, causing dehydration, redness, and the oh-so-lovely dullness I’ve been noticing lately. Apparently, when oestrogen dips, skin stress goes up. Who knew hormones were this dramatic?
But here’s the fun part, she had a solution. Enter Lumixa Skin Normaliser, my new skin saviour.
What the Heck Is Lumixa?
My therapist broke it down for me beautifully (without making me feel like I was back in a Year 10 science lesson).
How it Works:
Lumixa Skin Normaliser, targets inflammageing, that annoying skin stress where inflammation causes dehydration, reactivity, and a dull complexion. Think of it like pressing the reset button on tired, stressed skin. The treatment uses FLUOROPHYLL N, a fancy patented fluorophore that activates under a specific light to calm inflammation and give your skin a much-needed energy boost.

What It Does:
- Tackles the first signs of skin ageing
- Rehydrates dull, reactive skin
- Soothes inflammation and skin stress
- Boosts skin vitality and glow
- Suitable for all skin types
Perfect for:
- Dehydration (tick)
- Dullness (double tick)
- Pigmentation (why not throw that in too?)

The Treatment – Surprisingly Relaxing!
The recommendation, a course of 5 sessions – one per week, to really see results. Apparently the results get even better weeks of the final treatment.
The treatment itself? Blissfully simple.
- A gentle cleanse to prep my skin
- The Lumixa gel applied (felt super lightweight).
- Time to relax! I lay back for 10 minutes while the special light worked its magic.
No pain, no tingling, just me lying there thinking, Wow, this feels way too easy to be effective.
