Hang tight, it can take 2 – 3 days for Treatments to start to work, and 7 – 14 days for them to reach their full glory. It is normal to see some redness, mild swelling and bruising at the treatment site immediately after the appointment. Redness and swelling usually subsides within 24hrs, bruising can take longer.
We recommend booking your appointment at least two weeks prior to any scheduled event.

When treating different areas of the face you may feel a sting. These are low on the pain scale. Mild swelling may occur over the next 24 hours.

After receiving Wrinkle Treatment, it’s important to take good care of yourself to ensure a smooth and successful recovery. Please follow these aftercare instructions to minimise the risk of infection, bruising and/or dispersing the medication to other areas of the face, which can cause a droop of the brow, or eyelid, or lower face:
- 1. Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours after the treatment to minimise the risk of infection.
- 2. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and exposure to heat or cold for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
- 3. Avoid lying down or leaning forward for at least 4 hours after the treatment.
- 4. Avoid facial massages, facials, or any other facial treatments for at least 2 weeks after the treatment.
- 5. Do not wear tight-fitting hats or headbands that may press on the treated area.
- 6. Be sure to follow up with your cosmetic nurse as recommended to ensure optimal results and to address any concerns or issues.
- 7. If you experience any increased pain, redness, swelling, or discomfort after the treatment, contact your Clear Skincare Clinic immediately.
- 8. Avoid taking any blood-thinning medications or supplements, such as aspirin, Nurofen or fish oil, for at least 24 hours after the treatment, unless you have been given medical clearance to continue with this from your regular doctor.
