FAQs

Rosacea is a non-contagious skin inflammation that primarily affects the facial area. The skin’s visible blood vessels dilate, creating a red flush that may be accompanied by small pustules and lumps. Rosacea tends to appear first between the ages of 30 and 50. It affects men and women, including those who have not previously experienced skin problems, and there is no permanent cure. Rosacea is mostly predominant in fairer skins. Symptoms can range from pink patches, which look like flushing across the nose and cheeks, to a sporadic and angry red rash with yellow-headed pustules. Severe rosacea can result in an enlarged, reddened nose.

Our Laser Redless Treatment improves the quality, tone and texture of the skin through subtle thermal heating using a non-invasive Nd:YAG laser. The deep thermal heat stimulates collagen production and the regeneration of capillaries to reduce the appearance of redness and flushing. This in turn results in a healthier, brighter, more even complexion. This specialised treatment of rosacea is quick and painless, with no downtime. The heat used in this procedure can cause the treatment area to become flushed immediately after treatment. There may also be some residual heat which will dissipate over the following 24-48 hours.

The number of sessions depends on the severity of your symptoms but can range from 6-8 treatments. In many cases, the visible improvements are immediate. We recommend 4 weekly treatments, then reducing to fortnightly treatments. This may also be supported by a follow-up treatment of Laser Vein and Capillary Reduction to eliminate any vascular imperfections. Rosacea may reoccur over time, and maintenance treatments should be scheduled when the first signs of redness appear.

The treatment takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area.

The treatment has minimal to no downtime.
