How it Works
The Renuva Non-Ablative Fractional Erbium Laser works by delivering thousands of tiny, controlled microscopic thermal zones (MTZs) to the skin.
Operating in fractional mode, this laser targets only a small portion of the skin with each pass—specifically less than 10% of the total treatment area. This focused approach creates precise, micro-injuries into the reticular dermis while leaving surrounding tissue untouched and free of risk.
The unaffected tissue around each microscopic thermal zone acts as a reservoir of healthy cells that assist in quick tissue repair. This promotes faster recovery times and allows the skin to rejuvenate with minimal discomfort.

The low down
Suitable for clients looking for advanced skin rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction and scar improvement. It is safe to be performed on clients with Fitzpatricks 1- 4.
Find your skin type
Clients with Fitz 4 must be prepped for 2 weeks prior with a tyrosinase inhibitor and SPF. Recommend ARx Ultimate Serum or Clear Skincare Brightening Serum.
Post treatment, your skin may look as though it has sunburn. How long the redness lasts depends on the individual, but most clients see a reduction after 24 to 48 hours. Some dryness may also be present, which is entirely normal and will resolve within a few days.
Renuva causes warmth and heat throughout the treatment. It can feel like a sharp pulse on the skin. This can be present on the skin after treatment for a few hours. Throughout the treatment, cool air will be used to manage comfort throughout treatment.
Procedures are spaced 4 weeks apart. Clients usually begin to see the initial results within a week of their first procedure. Radiant skin is apparent as the deeper skin continues its natural healing process.
TIPS WE LOVE TO SHARE
Dig a little deeper renuva laser resurfacing
- Avoid excessive sun exposure two weeks before and after your Renuva treatment.
- Cosmetic Aesthetic clients should leave two weeks between their last cosmetic aesthetic treatment and Renuva.
- We recommend applying a topical numbing cream 30 – 60 minutes prior to your treatment to make it more comfortable, which can be purchased from your local pharmacy.
- For Fitzpatrick skin types 4+ you will need to prepare your skin for 2 weeks prior with a tyrosinase inhibitor or vitamin C serum such as our Pigment Perfect Serum..
Following your Renuva treatment, the following aftercare will help to heal, hydrate and protect the skin.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT
The skin may appear flushed and there may be warmth in the treated skin.
THINGS TO AVOID
Avoid the gym, spa and sauna for 24 hours.
Avoid products containing active ingredients for 7 days.
Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks.
FOLLOWING TREATMENT
Your skin will be pink and warm. This may be present for 1-3 days.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
Day 1-3: Use a gentle cleanser such as Clear Skincare Hydrating Gel Cleanser, & Recovery Cream, followed by SPF.
Day 7: May resume actives and can resume exfoliation.
