- For Fitzpatrick skin types 4+ you will need to prepare your skin for 2 weeks prior with a tyrosinase inhibitor such as our Pigment Perfect Serum. and a SPF.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure two weeks before and after your MesoInfus™ Needling treatment.
- Cosmetic Aesthetic clients should leave two – four weeks between their last cosmetic aesthetic treatment and MesoInfus™ Needling. Your therapist will guide you on how long you should wait.
Following your Microneedling treatment, the following aftercare will help to south, hydrate and protect the skin.
- PRODUCTS: Restoring Serum, Treatment Recovery Cream and Hydrating Sunscreen Lotion SPF50+.
- IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT: The skin may appear flushed and there may be warmth in the treated skin.
- THINGS TO AVOID: Avoid the gym, swimming pools and sauna for 24 hours. Avoid products containing active ingredients for 3-5 days. Avoid direct sun exposure and exfoliation for 7 days for all treatments.
- FOLLOWING TREATMENT: Your skin will be pink and warm. This may be present for 1-3 days.
- POST-TREATMENT CARE: Day of treatment: use Restoring Serum, Treatment Recovery Cream + Hydrating Sunscreen Lotion SPF50+. Day 3: resume specialty serums Day 7: resume all products and exfoliation.

MesoInfus™ Needling is suitable for clients experiencing congestion,
pigmentation issues, dullness, redness, fine lines and dry skin. However, individuals with Fitzpatrick Skin Type IV and above will require skin preparation before undergoing the treatment (skin preparation with tyrosinase inhibitor 2 weeks prior to the treatment).

During the treatment you will feel slight pressure and a prickling sensation as the tip moves across the face, each area is treated in small sections. As the treatment is fast, any discomfort is short-lived and tolerable. Warmth and slight tingling are normal. After your MesoInfus™ Needling treatment, your skin may appear flushed, with slight redness and possible mild swelling.
- 24 HOURS: Mid-strong erythema, mild swelling
- 1-2 DAYS: Mild itchiness, tight/dry sensation

In 1975, Dr. Thomas B. Fitzpatrick developed a skin phototype scale, which is commonly called the Fitzpatrick scale or Fitzpatrick skin type. It is a classification system based on the amount of melanin present in the skin, how the skin reacts to sun exposure, and the skin’s tendency to sunburn or tan.

MesoInfus™ is an advanced skin therapy that uses our MediPen to deliver active MesoInfus™ serums deep into the skin's layers. The MediPen operates by utilising tiny needles to create micro-perforations, or 'micro-channels' in the skin.
Microneedling is a natural, mechanical process which works without the use of chemicals. It helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, improve skin tone and refine pores. Acne scarring and redness will also benefit from micro-needling, and you can improve overall skin texture and quality. The process also helps the skin to better absorb skincare products for ongoing healthier skin.
MesoInfus™ Needling is not the ideal treatment if you have active breakouts, but it’s ideal once you have cleared your skin because increased collagen and elastin production can improve the appearance of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and acne scarring.
MesoInfus™ Needling is considered safe for all skin types and requires little to no downtime post-treatment. However, it is not recommended in conjunction with some acne medications or if you have psoriasis, eczema, open wounds, active cystic acne or keloid scarring, or if you are pregnant.
MesoInfus™ Needling is an intensive 20-minute procedure. Results may become visible after the procedure, however most clients will require multiple treatments for best results. Some conditions may require 3 treatments while something like acne scarring most likely requires a minimum of 6 treatments.

Your skin may appear flushed, with slight redness and possible mild swelling. You may also experience light flaking. Most of the redness and swelling should subside within 24 hours, with the average healing process being 2 to 5 days.
Generally, you should see MesoInfus™ Needling beginning to work as your skin starts to heal within 4 to 7 days after your first treatment. Within 4 to 6 weeks you will see positive results that then begin to become cumulative.
